After Indy’s caesarean she became unable to conceive, and so we were without a litter prospect for some time. Thankfully, Kylie & Stuart Leslie let us lease Chloe, Trucharm Royal Spirit and so with the help of Peta Ware and her beautiful boy Darcy, BISS Ch Gremaric Master Stroke HSAS, litter 2 were born.

Chloe was just the most wonderful mum, and presented us with seven beautiful babies, 5 big males and two females. Unfortunately, the only show marked bitch died at 9 days, so despite the fact we had planned to keep a bitch to breed on with, we only had the beautiful Lily, Classicyds Casper, who was so named because of her full white head, with just two black ears. Suddenly our plans had to change!

From this litter we had two lovely potential show males, Chase, Classicyds Catch Me If U Can, and Jack, Classicyds Crackerjack. While we kept Chase, Jack went to live with Richard & Michelle Gray where we could still show him.

Chase did some wonderful winning for us in Baby Puppy and now resides with our friends the Bennett’s. Jack has also had success in the show ring, and will be campaigned further now he has matured.

The remainder of the pups went to great homes in Mt Isa, Coolum and Brisbane and Morayfield, including Steele and Jo Wyllie who have since become our good friends and now have 3 Classicyds Border Collies.

We still receive wonderful photos from the various families, and keep in touch regularly with many of them. Brother and sister, Toby, Classicyds Class Act and Classicyds Casper went to two best mates in Mt Isa, so they still enjoy each other’s company.

Two puppies from this litter have gone on to be ring bearers for their family’s wedding. Jack was ring-bearer for Richard & Michelle and Clifford, Classicyds Clifford was ring bearer for Scott & Linda Parsons. Knowing what a huge part they are of their respective family’s lives has given us great joy.

Amazingly, when my dear friend, Belinda came to see the pups it was Chloe who she fell madly in love with, (trust us, Chloe did her cutest face for Belinda, clearly she knew when she was on a good thing) and so Chloe found a fabulous new home where her days are spent lying on the good leather sofa and barking at anyone who dares to ring “her” doorbell!

Thank-you to Peta & Ken Ware for letting us use Darcy for his first mating, and our enormous thanks to Kylie and Stuart Leslie of Trucharm Border Collies for entrusting Chloe to us for her last litter, and allowing our friends Belinda, Stephen and Harrison Brasch to keep Chloe for the rest of her life.
