Boofy is our very first show dog and has exceeded all our expectations. He was not shown until 9 months of age, but still gained his title at 18 months and went on to gain his Grand Championship with a Best In Group at 3˝. We have always known he was very special, even when we bought him just as a pet.

Boofy has been in almost full retirement since gaining his title in 2001.

His achievements during his less than 3 year career include:

• Reserve In Show (All Breeds)
• 17 Best In Group
• 11 Reserve In Group
• 6 Class In Show
• 79 Class In Group
• Toowoomba Royal: BOB 2000, RUBOB 1999, Dog CC 2001

In 2004 Boofy Made a rare appearance in the show ring to win Reserve In Show at the Border Collie Club of Queensland Australia Day Open Show. In December he again entered the ring to win: Veteran In Show - BCC of Qld Champ Show

In 2005 Boofy and Kimmie Wesener won the State Championship for 10-13 years section of the Pedigree Junior Handlers Competition at the Brisbane Royal Show.

Boofy was bred by Janice Mc Kiernan (Cannyben Border Collies) and has two of Australia's biggest winning Border Collies as his grand–father and great grandfather, CH. Beechwood Boots Nall and CH. Induru Benjamin Boots.

Boofy has a fantastic temperament and his outstanding head and rear end rank as two of his best points.

His days are now spent enjoying a bone and playing with the ball. His gentle manner endears him to all who meet him. We will never have a more beautiful dog than our "Boofy Cat", and we will never be able to thank Janice Mc Kiernan enough for him... he is forever our "kitten" the black and white cat!

Boofy's Progeny

Boofy sired his first litter, whelped in May 2004 to Australian Champion Cheney/JR Fatl Atraction (Alice). From this litter Fetchemin A Knights Tale (Bruce) owned and bred by David and Julie Wilden has gone on to compete very successfully in the show ring in rare appearance.

Bruce's numerous wins include:

• Baby In Show - BCC of Qld Champ Show
• Minor In Show (All Breeds)
• 3rd place in Intermediate Dog at the first Border Collie National held in 2006.
